On November 19, I had a trainee named Tanner in. He's nearing his time being radio-prepped, and did a great job. :) I always love helping new trainees. It's been five years for me. Wow! Time flies when you're involved with an awesome community station.

Ageless Beauty

Well, here we are, October 29. The Eve Eve of Hallow's Eve.

Got a costume? You're ahead of me if so, but I've got a couple ideas rattling around up there, just have to execute them, haha. It's been a few years since the last time I dressed up! We'll see how she goes.

So, here it is, almost the end of October.

Time is such a funny thing. We're always chasing it, or waiting for it to go faster. I just always find myself stepping back and saying "how is it almost the end of the day?!"

Haha, sorry for waxing poetic about how precious time is, but it's been top of mind lately.

Much overdue, and much FMPhasis love

Heya hiya!

So, life eh? FM-Phasis times were wonderful as ever!

I managed to raise $605, and even though my goal was $960, I think did pretty okay! Thanks so much to those who donated to my show, and to my fellow hosts' shows. :)

Today was a lovely day in community radio! Sunny skies, lots of cool new-to-me tunes, and the promise of fun FM-Phasis times in the very near future. Woo hoo!

Oceans Brawl

My oh my. It's September! Wowza.

Today's show was a super fun one - who I am kidding, hanging out at CFCR is always a great time. Played a couple older fun tunes, and a few new-to-me ones too.

My ever-loving cousin who always tunes to my show in from PEI told me about the beautiful song by Imaginary Cities called Purple Heart. I love it for its name alone! The video for it is pretty as well.

I have some cool links to share below as well, including some info about the Polaris Music Prize. Alvvays is shortlisted for this year's award. There was a great Polaris Panel and chat the other day, hosted by SaskMusic and taking place at the awesome Prairie Sun Brewery. Also... I am already obsessed with Coeur de pirate's beautiful new album, just released last week. A great showcase of her talent with this bilingual collection of tunes.
