Wish Upon the Weather

Today was a busy, busy Buzz!

First interviewed Troy and Eric from Edmonton's Altameda, who are at the Coors Centre tonight. They have been busy touring the last few weeks with the Trews, and this is there second to last show. Was great to hear about how things have been going with them. I chose their song as this blog's title given the weather this week... eeeeek!

At 5:30, I chatted with Michelle Grégoire, a Métis jazz pianist who is playing the Bassment with the U of S Jazz Ensemble. She said she enjoys the collaboration with artists from various backgrounds . She also added the Bassment is one of her favourite venues. The song we played, La Nouvelle Nation, aptly celebrates her Métis roots.

Also featured some newly-released tunes from Hannah Georgas, TR/ST and Said the Whale, among some recent other awesome gems.

Playlist for Feb. 8/19
Wish Upon the Weather - Altameda
Little Tears - Altameda
Time Hasn't Changed Me - Altameda

*Phew*

Aaaiight, talk at you lovelies next week!
