Well, it goes without saying that this year has been unlike any other before it. I mean that's always the case, I guess, but CHRIST. Global pandemic shuts down the world, masks have become fashion staples, people are showing true community while others show... the lack thereof.
Lots has happened since March, since I last stepped foot in the CFCR studio. Time has both flown and trickled like a leaky faucet.
Music has definitely been a saving grace, but BOY do I miss live shows. My last one was Geoffroy on Feb 24/2020. I've seen a smattering of online shows and Facebook lives, and watched a few Tweedy Shows in the last few months, but oh boy, it's been weird.
I thankfully am gainfully employed at my wonderful workplace, busy as ever. Coping in general, and adjusting to this weird new normal, has taken more energy than I ever imagined. I have had a few days of vacation, etc. But I missed doing my show. So recently, I've been pre-recording them. I've done a total of three so far, and for now, it's every couple weeks.

As in other years, we still had our FM-Phasis fundraising drive, which we were hopeful that people could still help us get close to our goal. Well, we actually exceeded it—$75,000! Thanks to the people who donated to my show and helped me hit $1008. It's especially appreciated since I wasn't in the hosting chair for the last several months!!
As well, we recently released the third edition of Got it Covered, in conjunction with our Regina pals at 91.3 FM CJTR! Help community radio thrive despite these weird ass times!
